As we slowly start polishing the look and feel of the site the primary thought behind everything we do is to make the site as easy for a new translator to use as possible. As a result, we've pushed the minimalist layout as far as we could. The last items on the design palette are a logo and favourite icon. After that we have to focus on building the dictionary and growing the community. Building a dictionary is a hard process but one day we hope we'll have enough translations and thus be very rewarding to anyone looking for translations of a Zambian word. Growing a community is even harder since a translator has to be motivated by various non-tangible factors to volunteer time and effort to translate words. Regardless we push toward the goal. Today our goal is to officially launch the site on October 24th, 2007 - Zambia's Independence Day. There won't be champagne popping but hopefully we'll be celebrating another person deciding to add another word to Zanglish.
